First Mate

tonker may have decided that after the attacks on him over a comment he made, he has decided like many others before him not to comment any more because if you say anything which a certain element do not like, especially on politics, you are subjected to abuse and sarcasm.

Admin need to get a grip of those concerned!

Poetic justice, karma, or just a case of what goes around comes around Todge?

OC Tonks may have just got fed up about posting after he has commented nearly 28000 since he joined. Has you know there are less and less decent posters on any of the sites so maybe he does not want to post anything on the dross If he wants to he will bounce back in his usual way

Remember to leave the car at home if you are off to the pub.

1st mate if I turn out I drive our car both there and back but I only drink 0% lager Totally agree that any one who wants an alcoholic drink must leave the car at home if they are the driver. I was visiting Asda during the early hours on Weds and on the way home went home by a different route than the A49 to Ashton(I wanted to look at some of the xmas lights) I was followed at various times by 3 police cars totally expected to get pulled but maybe they just checked the reg
Maybe the police presence will deter Drink-Driving

Shopping this morning, it was still dark, in a ten mile round trip, I observed half a dozen drivers had failed to switch on their lights, even though they really were needed.

Wondered if they were still under the influence possibly from previous evening.

That's the problem with day time running lights.

Stardelta then can't resist proving my point with another bit of his repeating what somebody says followed by the the usual bit of sarcasm!

I am being serious here Todge..........but on the basis practically every comment you make is full it it, it would appear you don't even know what sarcasm is

LL some drivers think I can see you so you should be able to see me with no lights on my vehicle. My car has day time running lights ,Auto lights which come on with light sensors and also Auto dip lights which dip the main beam automatically if a car approaches facing then lights go from main beam to dip also if there is a car in front does the same along with detecting street lights, lights go from main beam to dipped headlights. I want a Merry Christmas so will always try to be safe whilst driving. Some one mentioned about seeing a milk float and the other day I passed one and It had side lights like two candles in a sock

It was 6-40 am when I commenced my journey, which allowing for a petrol stop, was timed to get me to the shop as they opened at 7-00 am. (even then, it was crowded and car park was full.) So it was still pitch dark.

Not that unusual to see a driver forgetting to switch on lights. I guess I see a handful over the course of a year, so I thought seeing the same number in a journey time of 20 mins made me suspect their being maybe still under the influence. Of course,I could be wrong.

Hello everyone

I hope you've all had a lovely time.

My Christmas was a bit different this year as I spent it in hospital and only got out on Boxing Day. Ne' mind though. I'd nowt special planned anyway.

Staff were excellent, and the food was wonderful, so I survived quite well.

Anyway, I won't go on about it. Suffice to say am okay, so I wish you all a very happy new year when the time comes, which it will, as it always does.
